Pat McIver enjoying her time off in New York !
Pat draws on
her experience of over 50 years as a jeweler, model maker, muralist, and fine
art sculptor. Her work has been displayed in Cartier,
Inc; Bergdoff Goodman; The
Hugh & Marguerite Styx Shell Gallery & their books (The
Shell; Fifty Million Years of Inspired Design and The Art Of
Marguerite Styx) as well as their collection which toured the United
States; the Mary McFadden jewelry; Aaron
Faber, and The Santa Fe Opera collections; as well as numerous shops and
galleries throughout the country. She has created rings, figurines, earrings and
pendants licensed by the Walt Disney Company.Her work has been featured in Vogue,
Town and Country, Harper's
Bazaar, The New York Times Magazine, Look, and The Shell Oil Company Book Of The
Year.
Pat
collaborated with the late Maria Vogt to create a jeweled setting for a Tiffany
clock as well as other pieces placed in the White House and presidential yacht.
They also crafted gifts to be given to dignitaries by the White House. Jacqueline
Kennedy Onasis later purchased several pieces for the Onasis yacht. A highly
versatile artist, she also wrote and illustrated The Leathercraft Book on
how to make sandals, bags, and garments (Random House, 1973) published in The
U.S., Holland ,and England. An accomplished carpenter, Pat was one of the first
women to become an apprentice cabinetmaker in New York . And she found time to
run the New York Marathon three times. She is expanding the Heinrich Kley series
to include outdoor bronze sculptures, as well as other famous art sculptures.
Dan Peligrad
Dan
Peligrad was born in Romania to an artistic family which actively encouraged his
creativity and love of art. His training was rigorous. He earned a Masters
degree from the School of Architecture ( Bucharest , Romania ) 1970-1974. His
interest in creating and shaping led him to continue his artistic education by
earning another Masters of Arts degree from the Academy of Fine Arts (Bucharest)
1977 - 1981, where he studied painting, decorative arts and metalsmithing,
including bronze & silver casting. Dan Peligrad's work is on display at
Ralph Lauren Stores and Saks
Fifth Avenue . His creations are in private collections in numerous
countries, including Romania , Greece , France, Israel, Canada, Germany, and the
